Astrology– a Science
What is Astrology?
Astrology is the science of Stars. It may raise a question in the mind what the remote located stars and planets have to do with Human Life? According to Indian Philosophy it is said “Tat Twam Asi” means “You are that”. This is the proclamation of the Vedas. The universe is a reflection of our Self. Hence we are related to each and every object of this world. Therefore the placement of the Planets or Stars in our natal Chart at the time of our birth, have enormous impact on our lives.
According to another theory Planets and Stars Like Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are but our inner traits. The positions of the planets and stars will give an idea how these traits materialize in the Character, and how the Character will change our Destiny.
For example Sun denotes our Atman or Self. Moon represents our Mind, mental vagaries and views. Mars reflects the Inner Courage, if malefic very undisciplined and over daring and dashing. Mercury stands for our Discrimination and our ability to Communicate. Jupiter shows our Devotion, dedication and Inner Knowledge. Venus throws light on our Love, affection and if malefic our sexual indulgence etc. Saturn stands for our ability of doing Karma, Good Saturn stands for good Karma and bad Saturn stands for our lethargy and laziness to perform our Karma. Rahu gives the idea of our thoughts and putting those ideas into action, if malefic those ideas will remain as mere ideas i.e., they will never materialize. Ketu denotes of removing our mind from the world, if malefic it makes us to live more in the world.
